Design and Sign Review Application
In accordance with the Design Review Ordinance, Chapter 42, Section 42-6.4 and 42-7.13, any exterior design changes involving a sign or the erection, construction, alteration or repair of any building or structure shall be reviewed and approved by the Design Review Board prior to the issuance of a sign or building permit or as part of the site plan review process. Please review the Ordinance before submitting this application to assure compliance with the various provisions.
Please review the submission requirements, complete the application form, and submit all required information to the Planning Division for the Design Review Board. The Design Review Board meets bi-monthly at posted times scheduled by the Board held at the Township Hall.

In accordance with the Lot Split Ordinance, Chapter 18, Article III, Division I, Section 18-232, any division or partition of lots and parcels shall be reviewed and approved by the Township Board prior to the sale or development of any resultant lots or parcels of property. Please review the Ordinance before submitting this application to assure compliance with the various provisions.
Please review the submission requirements, complete the application form, and submit all required information to the Planning Division for consideration of the lot division request by the Township Board. The Township Board meets the second and fourth Monday of every month (unless otherwise scheduled) at 8:00 PM at the Township Hall.

Rezoning Request
Rezoning Request Application
In accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 42, the Planning Commission shall review rezoning requests and forward a recommendation to the Township Board for review and approval. With a recommendation from the Planning Commission, the Township Board shall review the rezoning request for approval. Please review the Ordinance before submitting this application to assure compliance with the various provisions.

The Township Board meets the second and fourth Monday of every month (unless otherwise scheduled) at 8:00 PM at the Township Hall.

Site Plan Review
Site Plan Review Application
In accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 42, the Planning Commission shall review any site changes involving the construction or alteration of any building or structure, parking lot or landscape improvements. With a recommendation from the Planning Commission, the Township Board shall review the site plan for final approval prior to the issuance of a building permit. Please review the Ordinance before submitting this application to assure compliance with the various provisions.

The Planning Commission meets the first and third Monday of every month (unless otherwise scheduled) at 7:00 PM held at the Township Hall.

Special Events
Special Events Application
All applications must be submitted NO LATER than two weeks prior to the next Design Review Board meeting Major Events such as national golf tournaments, the "Dream Cruise", grand opening celebrations, or other similar events shall comply with the following:
A "Special Event" permit shall be required upon approval by the Design Review Board prior to any activity for such a major event to take place in all Zoning Districts of Bloomfield Township when any one (1) of the following criteria may be found as determined by the Township Supervisor:
- Any event that may exceed a 48 hour period
- Impairment to vehicular or pedestrian traffic and/or parking or the public road right of way
- Protection of public and private health, safety welfare and property.
- Use of pyrotechnical equipment.
- Over-night occupancy (Chapter 42, Section 42-5.5)
- Over-night parking of vehicles equipped for camping (Chapter 42, Section 42-5.5)
- Over-night parking of trailers or mechanical equipment (Chapter 42, Section 42-5.5)
- Use of electricity, mechanical devices, or auxiliary lighting. (Chapter 42, Section 42-5.1 & Chapter 42, Section 42-5.5)
- Location of equipment, structures or devices within the road right-of-way (Ord. 510)
- Location of equipment, structures or devices in any yard other than in a rear yard. (Chapter 42, Section 42-5.1)
- Placement of more than one (1) "Accessory Sign" or more than one (1) "Non-Accessory Sign" (Chapter 42, Section 42-5.9)
- When a violation of the zoning district restriction may occur.

Tree Preservation & Protection Permit Application, Instructions and Fees In accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 42, the Planning, Building & Ordinance Department shall review requests to clear-cut, remove, cause to be removed, transplant or destroy any protected tree or landmark tree on any property in Bloomfield Township that is undergoing new construction or redevelopment. In addition, a tree permit is required for any clear-cutting activity on any property in Bloomfield Township. In accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 42, appeals from the strict applications of the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance may be made to the Zoning Board of Appeals upon finding the standards of practical difficulty or hardship have been met. Please review the Ordinance before submitting this application to assure compliance with the various provisions.
