Goal

Build and enhance avenues of communication among residents, the Township, businesses, and other stakeholders in support of a safe, vibrant, and welcoming community.

Objectives, Performance Measures and Status

Recreate an ambassador program to welcome new residents and introduce them to Township services, amenities, and attractions.

Creation of a new ambassador program.

Status

A new Ambassador Program is in progress and scheduled to be in place by December 2027.
Grants and Engagement Coordinator has made an effort to attend more HOA meetings, regularly attends Chamber of Commerce events and hosts cable studio tours.

Explore and develop partnerships to expand and promote community events that appeal to a broad range of interests.

Performance Measure

Number of events per year.

Status

Cable and Community Relations works with more than 50 community producers to record and broadcast community events and programming. The videos are available on streaming platforms and on-demand.

Cable and Community Relations also produces an electronic bulletin board which airs on local cable channels and throughout the Township campus to promote events throughout the year.

Produce a calendar of events to be distributed throughout the Township so residents are aware of activities and opportunities for enjoying life in their community.

Provide a Calendar of events by December 2026
Maintain/Increase resident satisfaction with Township communication and community engagement.

Status

A calendar is available on the Township website.
Survey has been drafted.

Develop a brand identity for Bloomfield Township that highlights its unique characteristics and differentiates the community from surrounding towns and cities.

Status

Brand standards have been established with comprehensive guidelines.

Promote the brand identity with specific messaging focused on safety, diversity, and the Township's natural beauty through all available channels.

Increase in community participation in available communication channels and activities measured year-over-year.
