This past weekend saw the first major storm of this winter season, and Township DPW (Department of Public Works) was up to the challenge. DWP ground staff began their work at 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025, with five inches of snow accumulated by day's end.
The heavy, wet nature of the snow posed a bit of a challenge for DPW staff and equipment, but roads were cleared and crews were finished by 8:00 p.m. Workers returned on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 7:00am to clean up remnants and get ready for more snowy weather ahead.
Since Sunday, nearly 1000 gallons of fuel, over 150 tons (300,000 lbs.) of salt, and 300 gallons of liquid deicers were used to help keep our area clear. Thank You DPW!
