Bloomfield Community Television (BCTV) has won two Awards of Honor from the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) as a part of the 2025 Government Programming Awards. In Category 14 (Election Coverage), BCTV won an Award of Honor for “Accuracy Over Speed: 2024 Election Workers.” In Category 3 (Community Event Coverage), BCTV won an Award of Honor for "Fall On The Farm: Bowers School Farm 2024 Fall Festival.”
Accuracy Over Speed offers a behind-the-scenes look at the exemplary work of the Bloomfield Township Clerk’s Office and the dedicated election workers that serve the community. From mailing, receiving, and tallying absentee ballots to the work done at the polls on election day, the process is so much more than what voters see.
Bloomfield Township Treasurer Martin Brook proclaimed, "On behalf of the hundreds of community members who work elections, I want to thank BCTV for telling the elections story. As election workers, it is our honor to take on the critical task of ensuring that all elections are accurate and secure."
Fall on the Farm allows viewers to experience the nostalgia of the Bowers School Farm Fall Festival. The 2024 festival featured fall activities and food for the whole community to enjoy. Plus, Bowers hosted a unique inaugural pumpkin carving contest.
Bowers Farm Guest Experience Specialist Erin Watson shared, "We’re incredibly grateful for our continued partnership with Bloomfield Community TV. The heart of Bower School Farm was captured in such a thoughtful and creative way. Their award-winning video is a testament to their talent, and we are honored to have our story told so well by their team."
In its 40th year, the Government Programming Awards program honors excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia, and electronic programming produced by local government agencies. This year NATOA received more than 900 entries submitted by local governments across the country.
Entries cover a variety of programming, including videography, social media, use of humor, ethnic experience, community events, documentary, public affairs and public service, interview/talk shows, performing arts, sports, election coverage, and more.
BCTV continues to facilitate the production and cablecast of television programs that reflect the interests and activities of the community. Their goal is to inform and enrich the lives of the people in its viewing area and beyond.

Bloomfield Community Television (BCTV) provides Public, Educational, and Government programming via local cable providers (Comcast, AT&T and WOW) for residents of Bloomfield Township and nearby municipalities. Established in 1985, BCTV facilitates the production and cablecast of television programs that reflect the interests and activities of the community and inform and enrich the lives of the people in its viewing area. The Bloomfield Township’s Clerk’s Office is responsible for administering federal, state, and local elections in the Township. Additionally, the Clerk’s Office provides numerous administrative services, which include keeping official records, accounting for Township funds, notarizing documents, processing passport applications and more. The Clerk’s Office operates with openness and transparency to make sure residents get the information and services they require in a timely manner.
