Dog Licenses
 The
State of Michigan law requires each dog to be vaccinated for
rabies and to be licensed by the age of six months. You must
present proof of current rabies vaccination to purchase the
license.
If you wish to get your dog’s license in person, go to
Township Hall during regular business hours. The
Township receptionist will fill out the necessary forms for
the tag and then you may make the payment in the Treasurer's
Office.
To purchase the license by mail, please send proof of
rabies vaccination and the appropriate fee to the Treasurer's
Office. A tag and copy of the license will be sent by return
mail. Scroll to the bottom of this page for the Township’s
address.
The dog license is valid for one calendar year; January 1st
through December 31st.

Before April 1st Males - $5.00
Females - $5.00
Neutered/Spayed - $2.50
After April 1st Males - $7.50
Females - $7.50
Neutered/Spayed - $5.00
FAQ's
1. I use a Leader Dog; do I have to follow the same
procedures?
No, Leader Dogs are exempt. However, you are strongly
encouraged to license your leader dog so that the dog may be
quickly identified and safely returned in the event he or she
is accidentally separated from you.
2. How many dogs may I keep?
No more than two dogs, six months or older, are allowed to
be kept on any property in Bloomfield Township.
