Open House

Bloomfield Township hosts an Open House every year during National Fire Prevention Week in October. Almost all Township departments participate. The Fire Department stages live fire demonstrations and presents many activities that teach fire safety. This is a free event that attracts approximately 1,000 people of all ages each year. CPR Classes

The Bloomfield Township Fire Department's EMS Division offers Family and Friends CPR classes that include instruction in adult, child and infant CPR to Bloomfield Township residents, Bloomfield Township community organizations and employees of Bloomfield Township businesses. Classes are free and are offered three times a year. Call the fire department at 248.433.7745 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM. Monday through Thursday to find out more and to make reservations.

These classes do not offer certification.

Blood Pressure Checks

You may have your blood pressure checked any day of the year by simply walking into any Township fire station and making the request. There is no charge for this service.

Public Speakers

The Fire Chief, the Fire Marshal and other officers are always happy to speak to Bloomfield Township community groups and schools about fire safety and prevention and emergency medical services. They often visit schools to educate children and show them a fire truck. They speak at babysitting clinics to train babysitters in fire safety and emergency medical services.
