Clean Sweep
Are You Ready for the 3rd Annual Clean Sweep?
 The event will be held this year on
the weekend of April 19-20, 2008. We’re very excited about the
dates this year since Earth Day is on April 22 and this will
not only give residents a chance to help out in their own
community but also to take part in a national campaign
promoting environmental awareness.
The program is a great way for students to gain community
service hours. Upon request certificates of participation can
be provided.
There is a sign-up form available for download on the
Township’s website. Only one person per group needs to sign
up. That individual will become the primary contact person
between the Township and any other group members. You do not
have to be part of a group to participate; however, we
encourage you to round up your family and friends or check
with your subdivision association to see if a group can be
assembled because the more people who get involved, the more
fun it will be!
As with last year’s event, orange trash bags, compost bags
and newly designed Clean Sweep tee shirts will again be
provided at no cost to participants.
New to the program this year, as suggested by a
participant, we are making lawn signs to promote the event in
neighborhoods available. We love hearing your suggestions and
ways to improve this program over the coming years. Keep them
coming!
