Barton Farmhouse Move
The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees is pleased to
collaborate with the City of Bloomfield Hills, the Bloomfield
Hills School Board and the Bloomfield Historical society in a
community-wide effort to save the Barton Farmhouse. The plan
to move the Barton Farmhouse from its original site on Long
Lake Road in Bloomfield Hills to the Bowers Farm in Bloomfield
Township is a solution that benefits the people of both
municipalities as well as the families of the school district.
Our entire community is enriched when we work together to
preserve our history. Bloomfield Township applauds this effort
and looks forward to welcoming a living museum that will tell
the story of our past to the children of our future.
Check back to see further progress!
No tax dollars are being used for this effort; it is being
privately funded.
