Treasurer Office Hours For Tax Collection

Pursuant to Public Act 641 of 2002, the township treasurer’s office must be open for tax collection until 5:00 PM one day between December 25 and January 1. The Bloomfield Township Treasurer’s Office will be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday, December 30.

The treasurer’s office will be open for tax collection daily from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with the exception of the following scheduled holidays:

           Closed:      Monday, July 4
                            Monday, September 5
                            Friday, November 11
                            Thursday, November 24
                            Friday, November 25
                            Friday, December 23
                            Monday, December 26
                            Monday, January 2
                            Monday, February 20

The township treasurer’s office must also be open until 5:00 PM each working Friday in the month of December and also on the last day taxes are due and payable before being returned as delinquent to the county treasurer. In 2006 the Township Treasurer’s Office will be open for the collection of taxes on Tuesday, February 28 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Reminder

A 24-hour drop box is available in the main door lobby entrance of the Township hall. Payments dropped after 4:30 PM will be posted on the next business day.

The last day to pay 2005 partial school taxes without interest is September 14, 2005.

The last day to pay all taxes without penalty is February 14, 2006.

Payments must be received in Township office on or before the last collection day. Postmarks are not accepted.
