2004 Heartsafe Community Award
The
Bloomfield Township Fire Department has been awarded the 2004
Heartsafe Community Award by the International Association of
Fire Chiefs. The Award is given to just two communities
in the entire country that have achieved excellence in
creating and promoting outstanding public access
defibrillation programs.
Bloomfield Township received the award for communities with
populations under 100,000. The Washington D.C. Fire
Department won the award for communities with populations over
100,000.
