BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP TREASURER’S OFFICE HOURS FOR 2011 TAX COLLECTION

For the 2011 tax year under State of Michigan law, Summer Taxes are due without interest on or before September 14, 2011. Winter Taxes are due without penalty on or before February 14, 2012.

The Treasurer’s office will be open for tax collection from 7:00 a.m. to
5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday along with the following:

Open:
Friday, December 30, 2011 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Closed: on the following scheduled holidays:
Monday, July 4, 2011
Monday, September 5, 2011
Thursday, November 24, 2011
Thursday, December 22, 2011
Monday, December 26, 2011
Monday, January 2, 2012
Monday, February 20, 2012

The Bloomfield Township Treasurer’s Office will accept 2011 Summer Tax payments without interest through end of workday at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. The Bloomfield Township Treasurer’s Office will accept 2011 Winter Tax payments without penalty through end of workday at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 and will then collect past due 2011 tax payments with interest and penalty due through end of business Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Delinquent taxes come under Oakland County’s jurisdiction as of close of business February 28, 2012.

24-hour drop is box located in the front door lobby. Payments dropped after 5:30 p.m. will be posted on the next business day. However, 2011 calendar year-end payments deposited in the drop box from 5:30 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 to 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 will be posted and receipted as paid on December 31, 2011.
