Trash Container Size Limit

There is a trash container size limit in Bloomfield Township of 32 gallons.  Any solid waste put into a container exceeding the 32-gallon limit will not be picked up. This enforcement, designed to protect the health and safety of Rizzo Services employees, is a standard regulation with most communities, and in fact, has been a part of the solid waste contracts with Bloomfield Township since 1991. It has recently become a problem due to the manufacture of the larger containers, which residents have purchased to hold more trash, thus adding too much weight to the container.
