Open House
The Bloomfield Township Fire Department hosts an Open House
every year during National Fire Prevention Week in October.
Hundreds of people attend to learn about fire safety and watch
demonstrations. There are activities for people of all ages.
 CPR
Classes
The Bloomfield Township Fire Department's EMS unit trains
many groups in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, or CPR. This
training is free to citizens, community organizations and
employees of local businesses. The class includes instruction
on adult CPR and adult foreign body airway obstruction
(choking). Pediatric CPR classes are offered on an as-needed
basis.

to find out more or to make reservations.
Blood Pressure Checks
You may have your blood pressure checked any day of the
year by simply walking into any Township fire station and
making the request. There is no charge for this service.
Public Speakers
The Fire Chief, the Fire Marshal and other officers are
always happy to speak to Bloomfield Township community groups
and schools about fire safety and prevention and emergency
medical services. They often visit schools to educate children
and show them a fire truck. They speak at babysitting clinics
to train babysitters in fire safety and emergency medical
services. To arrange for a speaker for your group or school,
