Trustees
The Township's four elected Trustees sit on the Township
Board along with the three Township officers. Together, they
act as the Township's major policy-making body as well as
exercise legislative functions. As private citizens, the
Trustees are committed to maintaining the desirability of
their home community and enhancing its uniqueness. Each
trustee is elected to a four-year term of office.
David B. Buckley
David B. Buckley
was appointed to the Board of Trustees in November 2002 to
fill the vacancy created by the death of William R. Yaw, Jr.
and he was elected to the position in November 2004. David was
elected to the Oakland County Board of Commissioners in 2000
and has been in leadership positions of the Republican
Committee of Oakland County and the Oakland 2000 Club.
He worked as a precinct delegate for 10 years and in 1996 was
a candidate for the Michigan State House of Representatives.
In previous Township service, he sat on the Solid Waste Review
committee and more recently, he chaired the Citizens’
Committee to Preserve Police, Fire and EMS Services.
David holds a business degree from Michigan
State University and is employed in management in the health
care field and also serves on the Board of Directors and
Executive Committee of the American Diabetes Association,
Michigan Chapter. He and his wife, Jane, have two sons. David
is a lifetime resident of Bloomfield Township. Reach him by

Neal J. Barnett
 Neal J.
Barnett was appointed to the Board of Trustees in February
2004 to fill the vacancy created by the death of Jerry Tobias
and he was elected to the position in November 2004. Neal was
a member and vice-chair of the Bloomfield Township Zoning
Board of Appeals (ZBA) and is currently a member of the
Planning Commission and the Election Commission. He represents
the Township on the Executive Committee of the Bloomfield
Youth Guidance Board and serves as its Chair. He
also represents the Township in joint activities with
Bloomfield Hills Schools. He also serves on the Gilbert Lake
Board. Neal has served as President of the Oakland Hills
Country Club Subdivision Association Board since 2000 and was
a member of that Board for eight years. He grew up in
Bloomfield Township and graduated from Groves High School. He
has a law degree from Wayne State University Law School, a
master's degree in clinical psychology from Oakland University
and an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. He
is Managing Partner in the law firm of Sills, Charboneau &
Barnett, P.C. Neal and his wife have three middle school-age
children; twin daughters and a son.

Leo Savoie
Leo C. Savoie
was elected to the Board of Trustees in November 2004. He has
served on Bloomfield Township’s Board of Review since 1997 and
on the Zoning Board of Appeals since 2001. Leo has spent most
of his life in the Birmingham/Bloomfield area. He attended
University of Detroit High School before his family moved to
Pennsylvania. There, he graduated from the Shaler Area High
School in Pittsburgh and went on to the Indiana University of
Pennsylvania in Indiana, Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor
of Science degree in business with a minor in economics. Leo
is owner and partner of the Birmingham Bloomfield Land Title
Company (BBLTC). The father of two sons, Leo coached Little
League baseball for eight years. He and his wife Sally have
been married for 27 years.

Greg Jamian
Greg Jamian was appointed to the Board of
Trustees in January 2008 to fill the vacancy created by the
resignation of Sherry Stefanes in December 2007. He was
elected to the Oakland County Board of Commissioners in 2003
and served through 2006. As a Commissioner, he chaired the
Personnel Committee and was a member of the Finance Committee.
Greg served on the boards of the Southeast Michigan Council of
Governments and the Area Agency on Aging 1-B from 2003 – 2006.
He has produced and sponsored numerous community events
including Medicare Modernization Act: Part D workshops, a West
Nile and SARs symposium, and seminars on Lake Scaping. He
serves on the Board as Vice President of the Manoogian Manor
Assisted Care Center, 2002-Present. In 2007 he served on the
Advisory Board of Oakland University’s Executive Masters in
Business Administration Program and from 2001 – 2004 he served
on the University’s Board of Visitors of the School of
Business. From 2003 – 2006 Greg served on Bloomfield
Township’s Lakes Board and in 2007 he began producing a
television series on Bloomfield Community Television, "Senior
Matters." Greg is President and CEO of AmeriCare Medical Inc.,
a health services and home care company based in Troy. He and
his wife have been Bloomfield Township residents since 1987.
